Hi Uma,

Obj is not the best format to be used for big models. Of course parsing 
60Mb of text file will take a while. Use osgconv to convert it to osgb 
to load it much faster. But 5 minutes seems a bit odd still. Have you 
tried loading it with the osgviewer? It took around 10-15 seconds on my 
machine.


Also, when looking at the scene (see screenshot), it has a big potential 
for optimizing. If you are using blender, you might be better of with 
the osg-exporter for blender or exporting FBX, as some high poly models 
are in there more than once (obj doesn't support "instances" AFAIK).
