Hi Ge,

Which model are you loading? If it has no texture coordinates and 
texture assigned you won't see much ;-)
Also you can try to remove the ifdef for the textures to see if it has 
to do anything with the composition. I'm successfully using the 
shadercomposition from the very beginning and haven't found any related 
issues.
